Often cops are children of cops. Just try, act of imagination, what kind of person would be attracted to this kind of "work." I see thousands of examples of unsafe trucker behavior every day. Cops NEVER hold such drivers to account. They only pull crap like this. Speeding radar against drivers engaged in the least of the unsafe behaviors. I have never been helped by these tough guys, irritated countless times. They are absolutely NOT to be trusted.

Best time to start your day is around 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning you can drive out all your hours without worrying about getting to a truck stop and being able to find a parking spot so you don't have to stop early to hunt for somewhere to park for the night

You have to restart personal conveyance after every time you stop or else it will kick you into drive on your hours so anytime you get back in your truck restart personal convenience

man you just gotta put NYC as a whole (plus long island and whatever other BS in that area) on your do not fly list. i been too a few places in Texas and Michigan that saw me having to go into residential to make the delivery but they were no where NEAR as stressful as this looked. Hamtramck was probably the worst of them but overall I'd probably be willing to go back there though especially compared to this!

that is strange safety wouldn't know who to ask why the sticker and paper wasn't there but from what i've experienced and from my opinion of big companies like Crete. i'm not the slightest surprised, but that doesn't mean it isn't strange. and that citation might not add as many points as my fender bender (first traffic violation), or the driving in a restricted lane up in the North East cuz i got cocky, lol and just another thing i've experienced. company terminal mechanic shops weren't always a good experience for me. this just makes it look like the flaw of that are bleeding into the safety divisions of some companies out there. not a good sign.

I have driven Volvo and Freightliner many times. Now I drive Kenworth T680 and I feel like I am driving a real truck! I like Paccar mx-13 engine sound and performance. The door step is so well thought out that getting into the vehicle is very easy. 42x80 bed is the crucial point. 😄

They sell good beef jerky that's made by Robertson. Comes with a screw on lid and the jars can be reused. I've been buying this brand of jerky for 50 years, not always from Love's

Unprofessional to shift the blame on them forgetting to put the sticker on, when the driver is clearly required by law to have his paper work in order before participating in any trip… I think I caught that the inspection was completed in July and you’re wishing the officer a happy thanksgiving, meaning it’s end of November, so four months later and the driver still hasn’t caught he is driving on an expired sticker. That’s just inexcusable.

One is out for pleasure that seldom drives long distances or has little or no familiarity with Interstate issues, and the other that deals daily with Interstate traffic throughout the country. Driving a truck is not considered a vacation, it’s a livelihood.

I am debating how to get my CDL. I am thinking about going through a trucking companies' school. For a 1st year rookie OTR solo driver, they offer .35 per mile. Is this standard?
